A Special Thank You to our Nurses

This week is National Nurses Week, so before we celebrate our fantastic nurse case managers, we thought you might like to learn a bit more about our Case Management team and all that they do for injured workers, and for EK Health as a whole.

Where It All Began
Eunhee started as a home health nurse and developed a specialty in medical case management.  She founded EK Health in her living room in 1998, and now 20 years later EK Health is one of the leaders in workers' compensation managed care.  While EK Health has achieved great success and growth in the last two decades,  Eunhee's passion for case management and injured workers has remained unchanged.
In a recent interview for Forbes Magazine, Eunhee explained,  "we've always been convinced that taking care of the injured employee, facilitating quality care, and working closely with all parties involved results in the strongest outcomes. For everyone here -our nurses, our doctors, our technology team at DataCare- the patients are in the forefront."

Excellence: Being recognized as the best in what we do
Since 2005, EK Health has been received URAC accreditation for Utilization Review. In 2014, we attained URAC accreditation for Case Management services.

Why is this so important? URAC is a non-profit organization that completes a rigorous & comprehensive audit of medical services organizations. Their accreditation programs are considered the gold standard in the industry. For EK Health, consistently achieving URAC accreditations recognizes our ongoing commitment to excellence and demonstrates our passion for superior managed care services.

FUN FACT: For our most recent URAC audit completed in 2017, both the UR and CM teams achieved a perfect score of 100%!!
37 States and Counting
As we have grown to partner with clients on a national level, so has our need for more nurses. Below is our current Nurse Case Management Coverage Map that showcases all of the states in which a nurse can provide CM services.

As of April 2018, we have a total of 114 nurses located throughout 37 states.

A Complete Suite of Services
Although Case Management could be very simplistically thought of as a case managed helping an injured worker with their recovery and return to work, the needs of an injured worker and their employer are so varied, that we have continued to create new and specialized services to best meet their needs.

Along with the traditional Field and Telephonic Case Management services, here is a list of specialized services that make up our full suite of CM services. (click on each link to learn more)
